Social Listening in Marketing--PUR

Image
Social Listening in Marketing I selected the PUR water filter/system to review since I currently have a PUR pitcher filter to filter my well water. I am pleased with it and wanted to know what other PUR customers thought. I used Brita for about two years; however, it seemed to have an aftertaste that I didn’t care for, so I switched to a PUR faucet system first. There wasn’t an aftertaste, in fact, no taste at all, which I liked. I liked the blinking light to let me know when to change the filter, and at the time, my local recycling site took the filters. The system never leaked, as some customers noted on Twitter. After a couple of years, I changed my faucet to the high-rise single with the hose attached, so I switched to the PUR pitcher. I have been happy with the PUR pitcher; it provides clean-tasting water with an indicator light when the filter needs to be changed. https://www.pur.com/   PUR’s website was what one would typically expect,    pictures of various products w

Marketing in the News -- Lab-Grown Diamonds

Marketing in the News The increased popularity of Lab-Grown Diamonds   While browsing the internet, I saw the MarketWatch headline, " Lab-Grown Diamonds Market 2022 Insights on Covering Sales Outlook, Demand Forecast and Key Trends 2030," caught my eye. I have been interested in the process of making Lab-Grown Diamonds since the news broke several years ago about illegal activities surrounding the conflict and blood diamonds. The popularity of lab-grown diamonds is increasing, as pointed out by the MarketWatch headlines stating, "the global lab-grown diamonds market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.8% during the forecast period from 2021-2030" (MarketWatch.) The MarketWatch article highlighted how lab-grown diamonds are made by high pressure and high tempera

Marketing Me: Sally Filice This is my first blog of any kind; I am looking forward to learning about the blogging world through this Marketing class with Professor Rob Priewe.  Everyone likes their name pronounced correctly, and my last name is often mispronounced, the worst being Fi Lice, shudder. It is pronounced very similar to Feliz as in Feliz Navidad but with a 'fleece' sound at the end. The spelling is  Italian, not Hispanic, meaning i and not e after the F. I am an Accounting Major at Linn-Benton Community College, a fantastic Community College in the Albany area of Oregon. I enjoy doing anything with numbers, such as tax preparation, and now the Accounting world, debits, credits, and when it balances, it is very satisfying. To that end, I want to learn the best way to Market myself when I start looking for a job that fits into my tax/accounting plan. Yes, I did enroll in this class because it is required for the Accounting degree, but I also like learning, and any new
